The Town of Orchard Park Police Department Honor Guard was established in 2007. The Honor Guard and its techniques and procedures are based on that of the US Military and follow similar rules and regulations.

The Honor Guard is comprised of sworn members of the department. Members of the team must exemplify a core value of professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. The primary purpose of the Honor Guard is to conduct traditional ceremonies to render honors during funerals, sporting events, and other occasions that the team may be requested to attend.

While members of the department are familiar with basic drill and ceremony, the Honor Guard has the extended ability and training to conduct more intricate ceremonies. In addition, the Honor Guard is issued a more formal uniform that better suits these types of honorable ceremonies. The Orchard Park Police Honor Guard is proud to represent both the Town and the Law Enforcement Community.
