We will foster a collaborative relationship with our community members, schools, and businesses to determine the best course for achieving community well-being. We will continue to interact with our community, respond to citizens’ needs, and prepare for emerging issues.

Community is one of the Four Values of the Orchard Park Police Department. This value is best achieved by being committed to the concept of Community Policing.

Community Policing creates a positive partnership between police and the residents they serve. One of the main goals of this partnership is to reduce crime and create a safer community. By developing and maintaining relationships with our community, police are better informed and empowered to solve public safety problems.

The Orchard Park Police Department holds numerous community events, such as our Annual Police Open House, Car Seat Checks, and Driver Safety Classes. We work with local schools and childcare facilities providing safety education to the youngest members of our community as well as to many other adult groups and organizations.

Facebook and other social media outlets are used to provide communication about important information, upcoming events, and safety tips.
